Creating this piece was all about movement, energy and light. The swirling, textural effect of the gold leaf enhances the gestural tossing of this beautiful mare’s head to show off that awesome mane - her crowning glory. The colours are important here too - caught as the last rays of sun disappear at the end of the day, the gold leaf reflects a sunset that creates a magical translucent glow on her glossy white coat.
Created on a 38mm deep wood panel, finished on all four sides. Strung and ready to hang.
Framing is not necessary but it would also look great in a floating frame. I can organise this for you - just ask!
