Introducing the first painting (MERLIN) in a series of work showcasing the incredible horses of the London Metropolitan Police at Old Scotland Yard.

Many of us are familiar with seeing these courageous animals patrolling the London streets or on-duty at major events. However, I have become captivated with the idea of painting them in a way that we don't often get to see - relaxed and off-duty, capturing their incredible beauty and majesty.

MERLIN - a giant with a HUGE personality. I have had the best time painting this guy and the pleasure of capturing him just before his retirement from service at the age of 15. His years on patrol have included prominent roles at many events, which includes leading the crowd down the Mall towards Buckingham Palace at the wedding of William and Kate in 2011.

Print size includes a 2.5cm (1 inch) white border that will carry my signature and edition number. Please note: watermark will not appear on the print.

    This limited edition is printed to order especially for you.  

    Please allow the following lead times for me to get it to you:

    Print/s only: 7 - 14 days

    Framed Print/s: 21 - 28 days

    Each print is carefully packaged and shipped with full tracking service and insurance to your delivery address.  

    Please note: if you order more than two prints or one framed print, the system will charge you a shipping cost for each one (except in the case of a pre-defined set). However, I will automatically refund you the cost of the extra shipping so that you only pay once.

Merlin's muzzle is well-known for getting him into trouble and could often be found diving into ladies shoulder bags when they weren't looking. He also had a party trick of stacking orange street cones when out on patrol.
